Google wants to deliver ‘relevant’ results to its users. If you search for a business or company in a specific location, Google wants to deliver local results relevant to your search.
At the top of Google’s results a map of the location and a list of local businesses deemed relevant to the searched keyphrase will appear. Over the past three years, Google Local listings have started popping up and now usually appear above the natural search listings – thus pushing the importance of SEO down slightly! See below for an example:
HOW TO GET NEW CUSTOMERS FROM GOOGLE LOCAL
We can set up a new Google account and register your business in order to control your listing. You then need to make your entry ‘relevant’ by entering information, categorising your services, uploading photos and embedding videos, adding a logo, opening hours and much more.
Google Local can help your business appear at the top of Google before the search results, so that you are in a prime location to win all the business.
