About Wigan
Wigan is a large vibrant town in Greater Manchester, England, located on the banks of the River Douglas. It has been an important historic settlement since Saxon times and was granted a charter in 1246 by King Henry III.
The town of Wigan today is home to over 80,000 people and is well-known for its excellent shopping centre, great restaurants, pubs and nightlife.
